About Sile
Şile district is a peaceful and unique district of Istanbul where one can have a daily holiday. Generally, between June and September, population growth is experienced due to people who live in Istanbul and have a home in Şile. The summer months are very active in Şile and are very convenient for tourism and trade. There are plenty of places to stay for families of middle class. Şile is famous for its beaches, but it is generally dangerous to swim as it is influenced by the Black Sea. Şile has borders to Kocaeli city and important districts of Istanbul such as Beykoz and Pendik. It is possible to access Şile from Üsküdar by bus. Şile cloth is one of the most significant symbols of Şile and there are many shops selling clothes made of Şile cloth. One of the most important buildings of Şile is Şile Castle. The largest campus of Işık University, affiliated to Işık schools, which is a well-established educational institution, is located in Şile.
