About Sariyer
Sariyer is one of the 32 districts of Istanbul on the northern tip of the European side, where the Bosphorus connects with the Black Sea. Some of the major neighborhoods in this district are Buyukdere with many old summer houses, Rumeli Kavagi with many fish restaurants, Rumeli Feneri with fishing boats and a lighthouse near a ruined fortress, and Kilyos famous for its beaches. There are also summer residences belonging to some of the foreign embassies along Sariyer's coast line. Sarıyer is the northernmost district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the European side of the city. The Sarıyer district is a huge area consisting of the villages on the European side of the Bosphorus from Rumelifeneri, down through Tarabya, Yeniköy, İstinye, Emirgan to Rumelihisarı. Sarıyer also administers the Black Sea coast to the west of the mouth of the Bosphorus including the village of Kilyos. Its neighbours are Eyüp to the northwest, Beşiktaş to the south and Kağıthane to the west. With its unique location on the Bosphorus, Sarıyer is unique to tourists and investors alike, both inside and outside Turkey due to its amazing characteristics. Investors view Sariyer as Istanbul's investment paradise. As you walk along the Bosphorus, you will notice those magnificent yachts on its banks, next to luxury properties and historical or modern palaces of a lavish nature making it a destination for elite and celebrities. Connected via the M2 metro line, local bus services make it easy to get around the district and to other neighbouring areas. Sariyer also sits near the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge on the E80 highway, and the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge ensuring anyone who wants to cross continents to the Asian side can do so quickly.
