Başakşehir is one of 39 districts of Istanbul that is located on the European side of Istanbul and covers a large area of 104 km2. According to some studies, Başakşehir is considered in the top tier districts on the European side of Istanbul that is experiencing fast development of residential complex projects and increasing availability of residential spaces. Studies also show that Başakşehir is known to be one of the largest housing districts in the city and highly preferred by investors for its medium and high economic level. It is bordered by Eyüp, Sultangazi, Esenler, Bağcılar, Küçükçekmece, Avcılar, Esenyurt and Arnavutköy.
