About Karasu

Karasu is a distinguished district in Sakarya province, located at the intersection of the Black Sea and Marmara Region.

Karasu has the privilege of being one of the most precious tourism centers of Turkey with its natural and historical beauties, where the climate of both regions is seen. In Karasu, which draws attention with its proximity to Istanbul, you can find the Black Sea climate in its unique blue and greenness, and experience a different holiday.

Karasu district is a little away from the busy city life and for those who want to enjoy nature, it is the right address. Karasu, which is 31 meters above sea level, is also a natural beach and is 20 km long. It is a preferred place for the treatment of rheumatic diseases due to its sand, in which minerals are abundant. The district, which covers an area of 457 km², has a population of 64,124. In summer, this population rises to around 700,000. Karasu district is 48 km from Sakarya, the provincial center, 190 km from Istanbul and 315 km from Ankara.
