Ezine is a district of Çanakkale. The name of the district started when the Turkish Beys who came to this region built the Ulu Mosque to perform the Friday prayer. It was used for the regional name “Azine“, which means Friday in Persian. Over time, the name changed from Azine to Ezine.
Canakkale city center is 42 km away. Ezine is located in a flat plain region. Ezine has many ponds, streams and streamlet.
