Geyve
Geyve is a district of Sakarya Province. The region consists of plain and forest lands. Geyve, which has fertile land suitable for agriculture, provides its water source from the Sakarya River. It is a very suitable region when considered strategically in purchasing land for investment purposes. The land is suitable for growing grain, fruit and vegetables. Fruits such as quince, apples, peaches and cherries are the most grown products in this region. Located close to D-650 and D150 highways, Geyve is in an easily accessible area in terms of transportation. Doğançay Waterfall, Karagöl Plateau, Ali Fuat Paşa Bridge are among the places to visit for nature lovers.
Sakarya
Sakarya is an important tourism center in the Marmara Region. It has borders with the cities; Kocaeli on the west, Bilecik on the south, Bolu on the southeast and Düzce on the east. Sakarya is located at the intersection of all the important roads and railways. The D-100 (E-5) highway which has an important role on domestic and international transportation and passes through the city East-ward all along together with TEM highway and the D-25 highway in the direction of Bilecik are the main transportation axis of the city. Sakarya, one of the most important cities in Turkey for its rapid growth and development, is also attention worthy for its natural beauties and cultural richness. It is one of the paradise-like spots of the country with its sea, beaches, lakes, rivers, highlands, thermal springs along with traditional Ottoman lifestyle districts such as Taraklı and Geyve. Sakarya River is passing through Geyve, and is one of the important water sources for the land/agriculture. Geyve's economy is centered in agriculture as it has a productive agricultural land. It has a mild transitional climate, carrying mixed characteristics of Mediterranean, Black Sea and Inland Anatolian climates. Geyve's climate, the Sakarya River, and its productive land allow the varieties of fruits, vegetables and grains to be produced in Geyve. Sakarya River is the main vessel of town's agriculture. Especially, the quince, cherry, apple, peach and grape of Geyve are quite well known in local and Istanbul markets.
